What This Is About
Dear Reader:
When I joined the Dallas Athletic Club in 2015, all social, dining and drinking facilities at the DAC were open to all adults. In late December 2021, the DAC opened a new bar and dining room (shown above) and declared it off-limits to women. I sought to reverse that men-only policy, an effort which cost me dearly. As a result, I have I been ill-treated and faced multiple instances of retaliation, culminating in my being banned from the premises and ejected from the club.
I believe that the public needs to know of the DAC's discriminatory practices. Rather than present you with a long narrative, I provide you with the actual documentation. This will allow you to decide for yourself what is right or wrong.

Correspondence
In Spring, 2024 I met with Chairwoman of the DAC board to explain why the club should not discriminate against women and to seek her help in reversing the ban on women in the "Men's Lounge and Bar". She didn't offer to help, but made two suggestions: that I consider trying to change the club's policies from within by running for office and serving on committees, and that I should write a letter to the board making my case for the the bar to be opened to women. I told her I couldn't vote or serve because I was a non-resident member, but that I would consider upgrading to voting membership, and also writing a letter to the board. Thus began the following series of communications.

In October 2024, Bailey retained Towns Law to write Demand Letter 11-1-24. [Made case against men-only bar and objected to financial and other retaliation against Bailey; objected to breach of contract.]

Bailey Statement to DAC Board
On February 25, 2025, the board held a meeting to vote to terminate Bailey's membership in the DAC. Bailey opened by asking for the reason she was being ejected; the Chairwoman responded that the February 11, 2025 letter (above) contains the reasons. Below is Bailey's statement to the board. No board member asked any questions or made any comments.
